Lesley Kowalski was born with tap shoes on her
feet! She has been dancing for over 30 years
and has a varied tap background, from Broadway
to Rhythm Tap. Lesley, a native New Yorker,
recently moved from Washington, DC to
Jefferson City. Lesley has been a featured
member of the dance troupe Tapestry, and has
appeared on-stage with such greats as the late
Gregory Hines, Barbara Duffy, Dianne Walker,
and Lane Alexander. In Washington, DC Lesley
taught at DC Dance Collective and most recently
at Knock on Wood, a dance studio that is
exclusively for tap dancing. Lesley has taught all
levels of tap from toddlers to adults. Lesley puts
the emphasis on fun! She is excited to join the
Dancenter staff. Come join her for a toe-tappin',
foot-stomping, good time!
