Welcome Back!!!
We are so glad to see all of you again and also all the new faces here at
Dancenter. We really hope you had a great Christmas and New Years. Well
there has been some exciting things happening at Dancenter and we hope that it
all helps you to be informed more. Dancenter is now on Facebook and we try our
best to keep things posted for everyone. Come and join in on the fun! We also
would love to be able to email everyone this newsletter and updates on what is
going on including cancelations if it snows. So if you have not given us your
email please stop at the desk and do so.
Snow!!!!!
If there is snow and classes need to be cancelled the best way is to check our
answering machine after 2pm. We will also send an email and if I can get to the
studio it will be placed on our website but the best way to find out is to call after
two. We do not always close if schools close so please do not assume that we
do not have class. If a class is cancelled we really try to reschedule the class
and if this is not possible we ask that you make the class up in another class
that is appropriate for your child.
COSTUMES FOR THE RECITAL
This is very, very important. If you have just started this year let me catch you up
on what is going on this year. Dancenter puts on a Recital at the Performing Arts
Center downtown at the end of May the 22nd. This recital we purchase
costumes for the children The problem is it takes three to four months to get the
costumes in so we must order them quickly. We must know if your child is
planning on being in the recital and we need the payment by the end of january.
There is a costume order form at the front desk for you to look at the prices and
other information. We will be measuring your child for the costume this week so
please make an effort to be at class. If your opt out of the recital that is alright
we just need to know so we do not order a costume and so the teacher knows
not to plan them in the dance. This is not a huge deal if you chose not to do the
recital your child will still learn in class and grow in dance. If you are returning
from last semster please stop by the desk and let us know if your child will or
will not be in the dance recital and please make a payment.
Bring a friend Week
Please invite a friend to class the week of the 18th-23rd. The class with the
most friends will receive a pizza party. This is a great time and lots of fun!!!
Post Dated Checks
If you did post dated checks last semester please remember to turn them in
again for this semester. If you are paying by check each month we ask that you
post date 5 of them for this semester. Do one for Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr and May
with the date of the first or the fifteenth. The check will not be put through until
that date and this helps cut cost and time, if we do only a few deposits a month
rather then nightly. If you have concerns about doing this please talk to us up
front.
